Where to get the flu vaccine?
You can have the NHS flu vaccination from the Walthamstow Pharmacy – if you’re aged 18 or over.Walthamstow Pharmacy are accepting Flu vaccinations bookings now.

Can I go to a pharmacy for a flu jab?
Yes, you can! Walthamstow Pharmacy can offer you either a NHS Flu Vaccine or a Private Flu Vaccines. See below for eligibility for NHS Vaccine. If you are not eligible we can offer you a private flu vaccine.
Walk in Flu Vaccination
Walk in appointments flu vaccinations are available, or book online or call in advance.
Walk in flu jabs are available at our Walthamstow Pharmacy, 399 Hoe Street, London E17 9AP. However, we recommend calling or booking in advance to avoid to minimise waiting time.
When should I book my flu jab?
For the most effective protection, it’s generally recommended to get your flu jab as early in the flu season as you can. The season is during the autumn and winter months. Booking your flu jab a few weeks before the start of the flu season is a good approach. This could mean considering booking your flu shot in late summer or early autumn.
Who is eligible for a Free Flu Jab
The flu vaccine is given free on the NHS to adults who:
- are 65 and over (including those who will be 65 by 31 March 2024)
- have certain health conditions
- are pregnant
- are in long-stay residential care
- receive a carer’s allowance, or are the main carer for an older or disabled person who may be at risk if you get sick
- live with someone who is more likely to get a severe infection due to a weakened immune system, such as someone living with HIV, someone who has had a transplant, or is having certain treatments for cancer, lupus or rheumatoid arthritis
Can you pay privately for a flu jab?
Yes, we can offer private flu vaccinations to anyone ages 2 years or older.
If you are not eligible for a free NHS vaccination, customers can now book a private flu jab at a cost of £18:00 by calling or booking online.
